‘India Rubber Meet (IRM)’ is a unique event of rubber sector stakeholders covering all links in the value chain. The major objective of the Meet is to provide a common platform for interaction, technical updation, innovations/knowledge sharing, address future concerns and above all, an unparalleled opportunity for networking for further advancement of rubber industry.
IRM is the sole rubber event in India organised through the joint participation of all segments of rubber sector stakeholders viz., growers, processors, synthetic and reclaimed rubber manufacturers, tyre and non-tyre product manufacturers, industry/trade associations, government and other promotional bodies, research and skill development institutions and the media.
The last two editions of the Meet, IRM 2014 and IRM 2015 were highly successful. About 700 delegates from India and abroad attended each event. In the Meet, renowned speakers gave illuminating lectures related to the themes.
The third edition of IRM is scheduled on 10th & 11th March 2016 at Grand Hyatt, Goa. The tiny emerald land on the West Coast of India, Goa, is one of the brightest tourist spots in the country, known for its rich culture/heritage and the swaying palms, white sands and sparkling waters and is an ideal venue for an event like IRM.
The theme of IRM 2016 is ‘Rubber Scenario – What Lies Ahead?’, reflecting the present rubber sector situation, overshadowed by uncertainties emanating from macroeconomic and other sector-specific developments. The trends, challenges and prospects of rubber sector will be discussed by world renowned experts and industry leaders. The topics would include economic/commodity outlook, industry scenario and prospects of natural rubber, synthetic rubber and tyre & non-tyre sectors. The participants will get an opportunity to interact with world-known practitioners in various fields related to rubber industry and share ideas/concerns with industry leaders for formulating and adopting appropriate strategies/policies.
