Deepa is an Economics graduate and MBA from Delhi University passed out in 1996. Soon after, she joined the dealing room at Citibank Bombay in the FX and Derivatives’ Sales team. From plain vanilla FX and swaps in the late 90's the suite of products expanded to include complex derivatives such as Equity linked debentures, structured swaps and Commodity hedging. The National Stock Exchange launched Currency Futures late 2008 and that is when Deepa joined the NSE to head the business development of Currency and Interest rate segment for clients on the exchange. During her 7+ year tenor, NSE was market leader in Currency Futures, and several new products like Currency options were introduced in the market. Deepa joined SGX India Rep office in 2018 and has been the ambassador of SGX in India. She does market development for debt and equity products as well as Commodity hedging solutions which Indian Companies can use to hedge their price risk . She represents SGX either as speaker or participant on many panels and conferences in the country
