Mr. Jon Visaisouk is the Chief Operating Officer for Tyromer Inc., a Canadian rubber devulcanization company. Through its non-chemical (thermo-mechanic) process, Tyromer devulcanizes End-of-Life tyre rubber for reuse in the tire and rubber industry. Tyromer's devulcanized rubber called TDP or Tyre-Derived Polymer has been used in the tire industry for over 7 years and is also used in conveyor and general rubber molded goods applications. The presentation shares our perspective on the greater overall natural rubber market, and the role we see devulcanization playing in the future. As both manufacturers and consumers push for a Circular Economy in tyres, recycled materials will only increase in importance as their acceptance into the industry becomes widespread. Therefore, we must all be aware of the issues being faced and how to move forward together as an industry. Finally, Tyromer is also bringing a new devulcanization line to Chennai, India, which will be ready for operation Spring 2024.
