Mr. Rajendra V. Gandhi is the Chairman & Managing Director of GRP Ltd., a public company listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
A Graduate Engineer from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT, Mumbai), he is the Chief Promoter of GRP Ltd. The Company is the first in India to design , fabricate and install an entire plant and machinery for the manufacture of Reclaim Rubber with complete indigenous components. Under his leadership GRP has today emerged as the largest reclaim rubber company in the world. The Company exports more than 60% of its products to more than 45 countries round the world.
Mr. Gandhi is also serving as an independent Director of the boards of several public listed companies. He served as a Member of the Managing Committee of the All India Rubber Industries Association for more than 20 years. It was at his initiative that AIRIA has instituted the prestigious K. M. Philip Gold Medal Award for individuals who have contributed to the growth of the Indian Rubber Industry. Mr. Gandhi has also been serving as a Member of the Governing Council of Indian Rubber Manufacturers Research Association (IRMRA) for the past few years.
Mr. Gandhi is actively involved with several Private and Public Trusts which are serving the cause of education, women empowerment, training in ethical values, strengthening of the Governance, water resource management, etc.
